From an old English garden to a Tuscany hillside or the beaches of Hawaii, JoAnn Barsten and her talented group of artists have transformed the walls of homes and businesses since 1987 in the Indianapolis area, Columbus Oh, and Florida businesses since 1987.

Prior to 1987, JoAnn worked and taught techniques in Michigan and Iowa. She is a charter member of IDAL, which was formed more than twenty years ago to promote and decorative painting and faux finishes in the United States and around the world.

    Over the years, JoAnn and JoAnn’s Impressions have participated in numerous Homerama, Decorator Show Houses, Street of Dreams and the 1997 Dream Home. She has worked with many of the city’s most prestigious home builders and designers, often providing decorative finishes in their own homes. In addition, Impressions did all the decorative finishes at the BAGI (Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis) headquarters in downtown Indianapolis.

    JoAnn has an extensive portfolio, both actual samples and pictures, which she would be happy to share with you in your home or place of business. In addition, she can assist you in choosing the perfect color for your walls, floors or ceilings.
